lol at the current effectt of palmdale anti-antenna ordinance
palmdale restricted him to operating on vhf and uhf only and took
away his fcc-license authority to operate on hf. one of
palmdalesexcuses for this was for rf health reasons, the larger the
antenna the more rf radiation there is which is harming the residents
in palmdale, such as hf antennas, and the smaller the antenna , the
less rf radiation there is which is healthier for the residents n
palmdale., like vhf and uhf antennas, therefore he is restricted to
vhf and uhf antennas and can still paarticipate in a part of ham
radio.
d
well, accordng to the arrl, the fcc rf charts and rules show that
transmitting at 100 watts or less on hf is perfectly safe for
everyone and under the mpe limits, and transmitting at the same power
level on vhf and uhf with a small antenna is harmfull. and more than
the mpe
limits.
so by ruling the way they did, , palmdale has screwed
theirselves
over.
if he was transmitting at 75 watts on hf with a hf antenna on a
radio capable of only a 75 watte setting, perfectly safe for his nimby
neigh bors. they and the city of palmdale and the state
ofcalifornia ruled that he is not allowed to transmit on hf and is
only allowed to transmit on vhf and uhf despite what the fcc says. and
s only allowed to have a vhf uhf antenna. and if he is
transmitting at 75 watts on vhf 2 meters , his nimby neigh bors
are now getting more than the mpe limits of rf
radiation.
