The fact that the universe is three-dimensional already makes it
possible to have an infinite number of straight lines, and in seemingly
infinite directions.

The fact that the ethers' smallest particles seems to make atoms
enormous, in comparison, would suggest a very fine detail can be
ascribed to these lines ...
