There have been no changes in radio theory, and very minor rule
changes which affect Extra, so if you understand the material, any
study guide going back to 1990 or so should work just fine,
supplemented by a quick review of Part 97.

I believe that the questions that might have been different between
than and now aren't being used at the moment to avoid confusion (band
edges come to mind). With the changes over the last six years, the old
book won't be accurate.

Otherwise, there is a lot of similarity in the question pools.
