Default Constant carrier on 14.0MHz; real or local artifact?

For the past week or so, I've been hearing a constant carrier on
14.0MHz, as exactly on frequency as my rig can determine.

It varies in strength through the day, changes strength when I switch
between my R5 vertical and 40 meter dipole, and disappears when I switch
out the antennas.

Even though nothing new has been introduced into the house, I went
through the exercise of unplugging or turning things off, but the signal
remains.

Anybody else hearing it, or is it something local?

Bert-

I've heard it here in Florida.

I wonder if it could have anything to do with a common local oscillator
in an HD Radio or Television? I don't hear as much noise on 3.579545
any more. However, I have a clock with a battery-backup circuit that
divides 3.57940 down to 60 Hz, and it comes in loud and clear!
