The people have spoken, and they said, "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!"

While The People certainly have the right, and the authority to claim
Enough is Enough, and make it stick...
They are, as a rule, not that committed. Remember that only about 30% of
colonists supported the Revolution. It was the commitment of those 30%
that got the job done. Had there been a primary system in the colonies,
you'd be speaking with a Yorkshire accent and enjoying the old age
benefits of British dentistry.
Today, with, now, two generations of Americans for whom 'nostalgia'
extends no further than breakfast, the probability of finding a
sufficient population so committed is, to be generous, slim.
And while I like what Ron Paul has to say, quite a lot, actually, I hold
no hope that he will survive a primary system that's designed to
maintain the status quo by drowning out the voice of the committed few.
One way to get that voice back to strength, would be to scap the primary
system, and go back to a convention system in which the committed can
prevail in launching a campaign that is truly revolutionary.
There is little political will for this.
So, before you begin declaring victory in the name of the people, get
out and start generating interest in the uncommitted for Ron Paul's
pronouncements. Educate the uninterested mass in the value of his
thinking. Or to bring a marketing term into the discussion: Generate
Demand.
Declaring victory in a USENet newsgroup, is not going to reach enough
voters to fund a decent yard sign printing. Much less carry victory in a
general election.
You always have the informed on one hand and the idiots on the other.
The idiots will always put themselves out of work and they gripe about
having to starve to death. Pay all they tax dollars to public servants
so they can live in splendor, and then wonder why they are going with
out medical care, etc., etc.
If you worry about the idiots, you are likely to go down in flames with
them, while they are preoccupied with a football game on TV.
But, back to reality, the people in that group viewing the debate and
hearing the prospective candidates seen that Ron Paul is head and
shoulders above the rest, indeed, there isn't a second choice, except
for the idiots you seem to want to focus on.

JS
How can you claim to be going back to reality when you've barely even
heard of the place, Johhny kOOk?
