Bingo! The number one reason linux is superior, anyone can write apps
for it without purchasing anything ... indeed, if linux doesn't support
your app, you can even go the OS source and make it do so.
No, only people who have the know-how and willingness to write their
own drivers can do so. Which is a very small subset of those who use
computers.
Yeah, in their case, the users you speak of, it only benefits by
allowing the apps to be created which are freely available and cheap ...
that is NOT a benefit to a minority, it is of true and real benefit to
all involved ...
