You should get an LED/LCD TV. They are cheap and pay for themselves
quickly by using a 10th the electricity of a CRT set.
Or, simply, if you can get someone to pay you 12 cents (about the cost
of a kilowatt of electricity) an hour to watch TV, you will be able to
buy a $1000.00 TV after 8333.333 hours of "work" (viewing the TV), or
1042.666 days at 8 hours of viewing a day ... but, since you old TV
probably only drew about 1/3 of a KW of "juice", you can time those
figures by about 3 ... which means, the TV will pay for itself in under
9 years!!!
I think my flat plasma screen is just fine ... I actually like the
picture better than most LEDs I have seen.
