Default Live Audio Streams Usage ?

Hi,

Those live audio streams that you can hear from RR, or via a few APPS
from Apple for their iPads, approximately how many MB per hour do they
usually eat up while running ?

I'm getting close to my Comcast limit for the month ?

Thanks,
B.

Just had this discussion on one of the broadcast boards.

Streaming audio, for the most part, is a trivial usage matter. You
can stream radio stations' audio all day, every day for the month, on an
iPhone, and not hit your cellular usage cap. On wi-fi, you'll never
notice it.

The lowest plan on ATT is 300Mb/mo. I've barely gotten to 200Mb, and
I monitor stations I serve constantly.

The next ATT plan, for $10 more per month is 3GB. Audio streaming is
down in the noise on that plan. And ATT is the stingiest of the cellular
carriers.

Now, as for cable...Comcast's cap is pretty tall. It will accomodate
your usage, plus movies, and tv streaming. You can stream radio audio
about 24/7 without hitting your cap.
