Carbon Credits were invented by right wingers you know...

Those 'credits' are one of the largest scams ever perpetrated.

Pollution continues to increase in direct proportion to the
emptying of taxpayer's pockets.

Carbon credits help *a little* but are only a short-term band-aid.
Longer term, we need to evolve again, as Kevin has so rightly
suggested.

I can't see them helping whatsoever. The credits are assigned in such
a way that countries producing little or no carbon dioxide get a huge
number of credits.

The worst offenders now purchase these credits for next to nothing.
The donor country gets a small money handout and the recipient country
can tell the world how they are doing their share, even as emissions
rise greatly.

It's all smoke and mirrors used to hide the fact that nothing is being
done.

I was thinking of more local terms, such as at the state level. I agree, internationally, it's crap.
