I didn't like Richard Diamond quite as much.
Well that show does not quite have the gimmick of the Dollar
show with the expenses tagline, so as you no doubt concur, is
more just a run of the mill detective show probably to compete
with the other higher profile detective characters.
But there is a huge universe of stuff out there which is more
or less forgotten today and I think that is a shame.
A few of the shows (just like some of the junk produced today)
would be best forgotten
I have recently discovered that you can download for free quite
a number of the OTR shows at the Internet Archive site
http://www.archive.ORG
This recent discussion also brought back to mind a radio drama
series which I only heard one or two episodes of from 1984 or
so that was broadcast on public radio stations. After a web
search I found the title "Moon Over Morocco" and the company
that produced it, ZBZ. Visiting their web site I discovered
that it is possible to buy the series on CD, but they are
charging the exorbitant price of USD 50 for the single CD.
Other CDs on their site of other radio shows which they produced
are in the USD 20 price range, which although high by todays
prices for CDs is rather more reasonable for such specialist
material.
But USD 50 for a single CD???
