You can obtain a reel out antenna that will plug into the antenna jack he

Just plug it in and reel it out. The higher you can get the antenna the better.

In the evenings you can tune in the ham radio 75 meter band 3.750-4.000 MHz
to test it out. Alos do a search for VOLMET stations on google and you can tune into
aircraft weather broadcasting and comms. 11.175 MHz is the USAF SSB aircraft frequency.
