Cambridge Amateur Radio Association 100 Year SES 1913- 2013

Cambridge Amateur Radio Association ( CARA ) is 100 Years old. CARA is
located in the city of Cambridge, in South East Ohio, USA, and is having a
SES each month (
www.w8vp.org ) to celebrate their 100 year birthday. A
Special Event QSL Card for each month and a Special QSL Certificate
showing all the events for the year. Certificate will be available in
December and will show each event worked. Please see

information and frequencies ( frequencies and modes may vary depending on
our operators).
Next Event is on April 6th, 2013 Celebrating the Cambridge Glass Company.
On April 3, 2002, the National Cambridge Collectors, Inc.
proudly opened a premier glass museum in downtown Cambridge, Ohio.
It houses a superb collection of Cambridge glassware produced by
The Cambridge Glass Company from 1902 to 1958.

SP DX Contest 2013

Please accept our cordial invitation to join us in SP DX Contest 2013. The
history of our competition is long, as the first event took place in 1933
so in 2013 we are celebrating the 80th Anniversary of the SP DX Contest.
We are going to activate some special event stations. This year contest
awards and trophies will have new, special, jubilee design.

University of Michigan W8UM Centennial Special Event

The University of Michigan Amateur Radio Club is celebrating its 100th
Anniversary in 2013. To commemorate the Club's centennial we will be
operating station W8UM on the central campus Diag of the University.
Operation will commence around 1400Z and run until approx. 2200Z on Sunday,
April 14th.

Rare County Activation During 7QP

The TERAC Amateur Radio Club (K7AUO)
www.terac.org is planning on
activating Gilliam County, OR during the upcoming Area 7 QSO Party (7QP) on
Saturday, May 4, 2013. K7AUO will be equipped for SSB and CW on 10 through
80 meters, actual operation will depend on band conditions. There are only
two licensed hams in Gilliam County and they do not currently have HF
capability so this is a rare county. Confirmation by QSL card (SASE
appreciated), EQSL, or LOTW. K7AUO looks forward to making a QSO with you!

International Marconi Day, N2MO

The Ocean Monmouth Amateur Radio Club, N2MO will be on the air for this
years International Marconi Day (IMD) event. N2MO will be transmitting from
the Marconi Belmar Receiving Site, Located in Wall Township NJ. Due the
effects of Super Strom Sandy we will only have two stations and the air. As
our facility will be running under emergency back up power. For all State
Side QSLs and certificates please use the QRZ lookup. Certificates require
a 9 X 12 S.A.S.E and $3.00. All over seas QSLs should go through the
