Swan sold a lot of equipment and a lot of people were very satisified
with it. Yes they might drift a little but all the radios of that time
did. Swan was one of the first to make a transceiver if not the first.
Swan was a key player in our history so go knock Collins that should
have been right up at the top that also had numerous problems. Swan
gave the rest of us something to operate if the person wasn't a
homebrew type so rich.

This would be the internet equivalent to a bunch of nutcases standing
around a stinking outhouse and sniffing below the seat to discuss the
odor with each other. Especially considering what a piece of garbage
a Siltronix 1011 is.

Fine, fella...but the Siltronix 1011 was just the precursor to
"export" radios. Thinly disguised as a 10 meter rig, it was sold to
the CB market. Swan marketed it under the Siltronix name just so they
wouldnt be accused of pandering to illegal keyclown CB'ers. No way
were hams going to pay that price for a monoband radio, especially one
that didnt just "drift"...those junkpiles MIGRATED!

They were dual banded fugly, and a zillion of them were sold. Supply and
demand.. just like you demand food stamps and I supply them.
