The MDSR releases the TX hardware instructions - build a RX-TX SDR based on
your RIG

Hi Everybody;

We have just completed the BiLIF converter building and setup
instructions. This document is now available from the MDSR website and our
file server or in the MDSR Yahoo user group. Comments are welcome. Please
join the group and get involved with MDSR.

http://users.skynet.be/myspace/mdsr

It describes in simple terms on how to upgrade the LIF PCB to the full
RX-TX capable IF SDR. The additional up-converter PCB joins together with
the LIF PCB to make up the BiLIF assembly. All the information is free as
long as it is used for amateur radio use.

The pdf document can also be down laded at this location.

http://www3.telus.net/public/bc237/M...alibration.pdf

MDSR offers the capability of upgrading your existing RIG - the one you
fell in love with - and extend its capabilities far beyond of what you
thought it can do - like DRM reception, JT65, WSPR, RTTY, PSK, CW decoder,
remote control, IF DSP filtering, IF real-time spectrum analysis....
(Depending on model a simple modification is required to access the
internal IF) Check our website for a listing of supported transceivers
and "How to Documents". CAT is used to control all the functions of the
transceiver via the MDSR software. IF is converted to 12kHz and then
plugged into the sound-card.

Please feel free to distribute this document freely or post it on your
website. All given information is free as long as it is used for non
commercial amateur radio.

All the best and 73;

The MDSR Team
