LitSat-1 with linear transponder deploys Friday

Lithuania is heading towards a historic moment – with the launch of the
first Lithuanian satellite in space. The amateur radio CubeSat LitSat-1,
call sign LY1LS, is planned to be deployed from the International Space
Station (ISS) on Friday, February 28 at 0730 UT. It carries a 435/145 MHz
linear transponder for SSB/CW communications

FAR 2014 Scholarships

The Foundation for Amateur Radio (F.A.R.) a non-profit, all volunteer
organization, manages 52 scholarships, worth an aggregate of $72,100, all
to be awarded to licensed amateur radio operators who complete applications

American Samoa 6m activation

catch on 6m. For that reason, this year I have made plans to activate
American Samoa as KH8/W7GJ on 6m EME from July 13th to July 28th
