Hello.
Anyone knows how/where plug in a frequency counter in ft-200 ?
My freq counter have option (substraction and adding to IF frequency).
Manual and schematics are at address below:

========================================
Janusz, I have the manual for the FT-200 with the circuit diagramme.
The frequency counter input should be connected with a less than 10 pf
capacitor to the common switch contact of switch deck 'S1f ' being the
output
of V3( 6CB6) , the premixer.
This output is representative for the operating frequency.
However the frequency counter offset is NOT the same for each band
I don't know whether your FT-200 has all the sub-bands implemented ,but I
shall list them all :

80 m 3.5 - 4.0 MHz premix freq range 5.0 - 5.5 MHz hence
freq counter offset : minus 1.5 MHz
40 m 7.0 - 7.5 MHz premix freq range 16.0 - 16.5 MHz hence
freq counter offset : minus 9.0 MHz
20 m 14.0 - 14.5 MHz premix freq range 5.0 - 5.5 MHz hence
freq counter offset : plus 9.0 MHz
15 m 21.0 - 21.5 MHz premix freq range 30.0- 30.5 MHz hence
freq counter offset : minus 9.0 MHz
10 m 28.0 - 28.5 MHz premix freq range 37.0- 37.5 MHz hence
freq counter offset : minus 9.0 MHz
28.5 -29.0 MHz premix freq range 37.5- 38.0 MHz
hence freq counter offset : minus 9.0 MHz
29.0 -29.5 MHz premix freq range 38.0- 38.5 MHz
hence freq counter offset : minus 9.0 MHz
29.5 -30.0 MHz premix freq range 38.5- 39.0 MHz
hence freq counter offset : minus 9.0 MHz

So you need 3 different offsets namely minus 1.5 MHz for 80 m band , plus
9.0 MHz for the 20 m band
and for all the other bands the offset is minus 9.0 MHz.
Suggest you use the smallest coupling capacitor necessary to excite the
frequency
counter and ensure the outgoing lead is properly screened and insulated ie
thin coax
(screen earthed on 1 side only to prevent an earth loop)
As a small 'capacitor' you can possibly use a short piece of (thin) coax.

Good luck
