Special event station GB1JSS will be active during the Summer Solstice on
Saturday, June 21, the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere.
The event is open to all radio amateurs and listeners

FCC okays changes to Amateur Radio exam credit, test administration,
emission type rules

In a wide-ranging Report and Order released June 9 that takes various
proceedings into consideration, the FCC has revised the Amateur Service
Part 97 rules to grant credit for written examination elements 3 (General)
and 4 (Amateur Extra) to holders of 'expired licenses that required passage
of those elements.'

Another poor week but the weekend did rescue things.

Cambridge News reports on the High Altitude Balloon flights, with 434 MHz
trackers, that radio amateur David Akerman M0RPI carried out for pupils of
St Alban's Primary School
