Customer Question - I'm also wondering.... are you guys {Sangean} ever
going to release a sequel to the {Sangean} ATS-909. It's a nice radio,
but it's been on the market for like 10 years now (and yet still kind
of shortwave portables).
Customer Comment - A portable LW, AM,SW and FM receiver, with HD
Radio, RDS and DRM would be nice.
Sangean Reply - No, Sangean will not release a new Shortwave radio.
The closest thing to it will be our DRM-40, featuring DRM, Digital
Radio Mondale, digital shortwave.
Sangean Business Logic - The reason being that we {Sangean} have over
the past 5 years seen a 50% reduction in the shortwave category.
People unfortunately are not interested in SW.

Interesting, but what they say makes little sense to me. However little interest there may be in shortwave, it is vast in comparison the almost non-existent and rapidly shrinking interest in DRM.
