To complete Kevin's post, I received a mail from Valentin Strashinski, the

"After catastrophe of Columbia some things on ISS and also scientific
activity come with additional difficulty. However the Shadow project in its
"cold" phase may use available equipment on board and takes minimal time of
astronauts, so it may begin, say, this autumn (or winter) if we will be fast
in managing of the receiving network. Under the current circumstance it will
be not only a particular scientific task, but also a distinct public support
of space researches in general. So if we can do it, I think we must do this
job together in memory of Columbia and its crew.
Your participation is thus warmly welcome in measuring field."

Greetings to all, please have a look, if it interests you to take part in
an
experiment with Electric Thruster Ion Plasma Engine tests onboard the
Space
Station.
The engine causes a VHF radio blackout on Earth and your help is need as
part of ground receiving network to map the extent of the effect.
