This is a regular posting of frequently-asked questions (FAQ) on
rec.radio.cb, all of which happen to be completely boring and ****ing
pointless.

To keep the size of the FAQ down (because the old FAQ was a
ridiculously-long, overly-officious pile of ****), the FAQ has been
reduced to the following summary:

CB radio is dead. The only reason it still exists is because a) the FCC
can't find anyone who would actually spend money for a license in that
****ty part of the spectrum, and b) it keeps the truckers, meth addicts
(some of whom are also truckers), lot lizards, and child molesters
someplace where they're easily identified.

The newsgroup itself is, well, completely useless. If you enjoy seeing
lame in-jokes that have been around for decades at this point, responses
to nine-year-old posts about LINNEYARS 4 SELL, and trolling crossposts
from alt.sex.bestiality, you've come to the right place. If not, too damn
bad.

In summary: eat **** for being interested in CB radio, and kindly go ****
yourself.
