Radio Amateur Satellite Corporation (AMSAT) and the American Radio Relay
League (ARRL), US managing partners of Amateur Radio on the International
Space Station (ARISS), are pleased to announce the schools/organizations
selections for the second half of 2016

The International Space Station orbits 250 miles above Earth and travels
about 17,500 miles per hour. The space station is visible in the night sky
and looks like a fast-moving plane, but it is dozens of times higher than
any airplane and travels thousands of miles an hour faster
