says the US National Guard had its Operation Seismos, an earthquake drill
February 3-6, and used radio amateurs to transmit messages as it accessed
community disaster resources

Japanese Ham Radio satellite launch postponed

ChubuSat-2, ChubuSat-3 and Horyu-4 were expected to launch on Friday,
February 12 into a 575 km, 31 degree inclination orbit. This launch has
been postponed due to bad weather at the launch site
