Ontario distracted driving legislation and Amateur Radio
Calling All Ontario-based Amateur Radio Clubs and ARES Groups
As you may well know, Amateur Radio operators in Ontario are enjoying a
time-limited exemption under the Highway Traffic Acts distracted driving
regulations, allowing us the use of mobile 2-way communications apparatus
until January 1, 2018.

Youth Contesting Program 2016
To follow up on the first successes in the Youth Contest Program of IARU R1
the new YCP contests of 2016 have been announced
Youth members from IARU R1 member societies are invited to take part in a
contest from so called “Top-Gun” stations. These young Ham’s will learn how
to operate the contest station, improve their contest skills and will aim
for the best results together as a team.
