As we first indicated on Mondays Daily Domains, Corus Radio CHR B101
CIQB-FM Barrie ON will flip to Classic Rock 101.1 Big-FM on Friday, July 27.
CIQBs website has been replaced with a countdown clock leading to a 11:00am
flip on Friday. The flip will take CIQB out of competition with sister Hot
AC “Fresh Radio 93.1” CHAY-FM.

The man known simply as AJ is transferring to St. Louis as Senior VP
Programming for iHeartMedia.
AJ has been with iHeart since 2012 most recently as SVP Programming of the
companys Norfolk and Richmond VA clusters and PD of CHR Q94 94.5 WRVQ and
AC Mix 98.1 WTVR-FM Richmond.. He also has programmed CHRs Hot 107.9 WWHT
Syracuse and Kiss 106.7 WKGS Rochester NY. His career also included
thirteen years at Cumulus 97.1 WBHT Wilkes-Barre PA where he hosted nights,
mornings, and afternoons at various times and six years as Program Director.
In St. Louis, AJ will oversee Country 93.7 The Bull KSD, Classic Hip-Hop
100.3 The Beat KMJM, Classic Hits 103.3 KLOU, Rhythmic CHR Wild 104.9 KBWX,
CHR Z107.7 KSLZ, and Gospel Hallelujah 1600 KATZ.

President of Programming, effective August 15. iHeartMedia St. Louis has a

Jason Hurst is crossing the street from afternoons at Cumulus Country 93.7
KSKS Fresno to join iHeartMedia AC Soft Rock 98.9 KSOF Dinuba as morning
co-host.
Hurst will join Teri Ann Schlesser as hosts of the “Jason and Teri Ann
Morning Show” starting Monday, August 1. Schlesser will also continue to
host middays at the station.
Hurst has worked at multiple stations in the Fresno market including Hot AC
Y101 KWYE and Alternative 104.1 KFRR.
iHeartMedia’s Soft Rock 98.9 today announced the addition of well-known
Fresno radio personality Jason Hurst to the weekday line-up. Jason will
team up with current Soft Rock personality Teri Ann Schlesser to host the
new “Jason and Teri Ann Morning Show.” The new program will debut Monday,
August 1 and will air weekday mornings from 5 10 a.m. on Soft Rock 98.9.
The new Jason and Teri Ann Morning Show will be a lively, upbeat blend of

More Virgin Radio Coming To Canada

In addition to the pending flip of 105.3 CFCA Kitchener ON on Friday, Bell
Media is planning on expanding its CHR Virgin Radio brand to Halifax.
CHR 101.3 The Bounce CJCH Halifax is promoting a big change at 1:00pm
Atlantic time on Friday. Just like the domain registered for Kitchener,
1013VirginRadio.com and .ca was registered in June.
Bell Media currently operates the CHR Virgin Radio brand in seven Canadian
markets under license from Richard Bransons Virgin Group. The brand is also
utilized in eight additional nations since its 1990s launch in London.

Cumulus Classic Hits 93.5 WRQN Bowling Green/Toledo OH has appointed Cliff
Smithers as its new Program Director/Morning Host.
Smithers rejoins the Cumulus Toledo cluster from Maumee Valley Broadcasting
Association Christian AC 102.3 The Promise WPOS-FM where he served as
PD/Afternoon Host/Morning Co-host. He fills the vacancy created by Mark
Elliotts resignation in May to relocate to Columbus where he is now working
in sales for the Tom Kent Radio Network.
Smithers previously spent 21 years at the Cumulus Toledo cluster including
12 years in afternoons at sister Country K100 99.9 WKKO.
Cumulus Media announces that Cliff Smithers joins Classic Hits-formatted
WRQN-FM in Toledo as Program Director and Morning Personality. Smithers
will debut on The WRQN Breakfast Show on Monday, August 8, 2016, from
5AM-9AM EST. This marks a homecoming for Smithers, who started his radio
career at Cumulus Media-Toledo, where he was on-air for 21 years from 1989
through 2010, hosting shows on WTOD-AM 1560, WRQN-FM, and on K100 (WKKO).
His other on-air positions include shows on WIOG in Saginaw, MI; WGRV in
Detroit; and CBS Radio-Detroits WOMC and WYCD.*

NBC Sports Launches Podcast Network

NBC Sports through its NBC Sports Radio network, NBCSN and Golf Channel
national cable networks, CSN regional cable networks and NBCSports.com and
Rotoworld.com is launching a podcast network.
The network will launch with a new show hosted by Tara Lipinski and Johnny
Weir to tie into NBCs coverage of the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Jineiro. The
two figure skaters will discuss a mix of sports, pop culture, and fashion.
Existing podcasts will include Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, Joe
Posnanskis Poscast, Golf Channels David Feherty’s, The Leisuremen, hosted
by The Dan Patrick Show’s Paul Pabst and Andrew Perloffm NASCAR on NBC with
Nate Ryan, The Two Robbies Podcast with bUK Premier League analysts Robbie
Earle and Robbie Mustoe, and existing NBC Sports Radio shows.
NBC Sports Group has added more than 14 podcasts to its suite of audio
offerings, and has made the entire NBC Sports Radio portfolio of
programming available on-demand via podcast. New offerings will include a
lifestyle podcast hosted by Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir, Tara and Johnny,
which will debut on July 27, ahead of the 2016 Rio Olympics. The podcast
will touch on hot topics in sports, pop culture, and fashion. Weir and
