Latino 95.5 Launches In Santa Rosa

Sinclair Telecables Wine Country Radio flipped Classical 95.5 K238AF Santa
Rosa CA/KSXY-HD2 to Spanish CHR Latino 95.5 on Friday, September 2.

The new station clones the branding and format of Emmis Latino 102.7 K274AX
Austin TX (of which Sinclair is 49% owner) and creates a flanker for sister
Regional Mexican Exitos 98.7 KXTS Geyserville. KXTS Program Director Eric
Dullaart adds those duties for K238AF.

The previous Classical format had debuted in October 2015 in place of Soft
Oldies Vintage 95.5.

WZVA Loves Ticking Clocks

For over two weeks now, former CHR Z103.5 WZVA Marion VA has been stunting
with a ticking clock and sweepers promoting Something Big coming to the
station.

The stunting coincided with the filing of the sale of WZVA and sister
Classic Rock 102.5 WOLD-FM from Thomas Copenhaver to CDM Broadcasting on
August 15 and them commencement of a Time Brokerage Agreement to operate
the station. The new owners also own Country 99.3 The Bull WQDK Ashokie NC
and is led by Chuck Marsh, former morning host at Entercom Country 93.1 The
Wolf WPAW Greensboro NC.
