I think the Yaesu FT-980 qualifies as a boat anchor. I didnt know I
wanted one until I did. I was going to get a FT-902DM. while glancing
around Fox Tango I came across the -980. It all lined up. Saw one on ebay,
then found one through a google search. He had it and I bought it. I am a
pretty new ham, less than a year. But not a kid and not new to tech stuff
(aircraft avionics 30 years), but definitely new to this radio and its

International crystals closing

Unfortunately, im see other places on the web stating that International
Crystals is closing shop. Really hate to see this. I dealt with them
several times in the past few years. The lady that answered the phone was
very knowledgeable and kept a few of my boat anchors going......
