Below is a video of ZF2MJ/N6MJ operating single-operator, two-radios (SO2R)
in the recent CQ Worldwide CW contest. Hes working both 20m and 15m
simultaneously. Whats amazing to me is how composed he is. I have to really
concentrate when operating even a single radio.
If you aspire to be as good as N6MJ, you might want to download CW Freak.
Im not sure where I heard about this program, but being a CW geek, I was
immediately drawn to the name. Its a free program that runs on just about
any version of Windows that you might have, and will help you copy
callsignsÂ*better. It sends at speeds from 15 wpmÂ*to more than 100
wpmÂ*(although Im not sure why it goes that fast), and attempts to simulate
a contest environment by varying the tone of the signal as its sending the
callsigns. This might be something to play around with for fun when band
conditions are particular crummy.
