A few people have asked about my somewhat scraggly looking antenna that
appears in some videos. This antenna started off as nice commercial end
fed used at home, but ended up being used for portable work. Over the
years is has suffered as a result of being pull up into trees, getting
tangled, being pulled down, thrown in the car etc, and some running
repair have been necessary. It looks very haggard, but it works a
treat even helping win a contest or two. I made a video to help
explain how it is held together and some of the things I have learnt and
incorporated into its design.
