steel-framed windows are the originals, 60+ years old, and you claim to

That's a grim little estate you live on, Evans. Looking at the state of
your neighbours' places, I can see you're in good company. You can tell
the council-houseyness of an area by counting the number of satellite
dishes, and Hardens Close ranks pretty high.
With all the houses facing each other across that little patch of
scrubland, there must be a veritable snowstorm of net curtains twitching
whenever someone comes back from cruising in his little turquoise jeep-
wannabe
