A most amazing homebrew transmitter found

I bought this transmitter at a hamfest last weekend, and just picked it up
today from the seller. Its a super simple transmitter - single 6AG7 with
5Y3 rectifier, all in a small steel box. But my-o-my is it built like a
military rig! Id have to guess the builder must have been a USN or similar
radio engineer - its built to very high standards.

Cool points:

1. Amazing steel cabinet work - hand drilled cooling holes over the tubes
(aluminum chassis)

2. Roller inductor!!!...
