Its probably not a news flash that good audio transformers are not at
plenteous as they once were. Because of my long tenure in broadcasting I
have a fair hoard of A57Js and A67Js. However even things like the
once-ubiquitous 88 mH loading coils are now cold-pressed Latinum.

Help is on the way. While not suitable for audiophile grade audio, wall
wart power transformers can make decent communications grade audio
transformers. Some of these are remarkably flat to 3 KHz, and sometimes...
