The 39th Annual South Carolina Peach Festival found itself the center of
attention of ham radio operators on July 16 with a Special Event Station
hosted by Cherokee County Coroner Dennis Fowler, KG4JIA. The station was
operated for a 24 hour period from a state of the art communications
trailer set up on the festival site in Gaffney, SC.



Several hundred contacts were made with the Special Event Station
utilizing the call sign W4W. “I wanted to do something...
