HRD Software, LLC announces the release of Version 6.3.0.563 as a
maintenance release. Everyone that has purchased HRD since February 2012
will get the fixes at no charge. This is a fix only version with no new
features.



· fix for split off on spot on some machines when using VFO B and TX-B

· set correct bitmap for "various" toolbar on RC

· code changes for Orion ii

· Fix WSI refresh on cluster.

· Update only matching entries in Cluster for a Log Add.

USAF wants to improve HF communications



New Scientist magazine reports the US Air Force is working on plans to
improve HF radio propagation by releasing ionised gas in the upper
atmosphere using a fleet of micro satellites



As well as increasing the range of radio signals, the USAF says it wants to
smooth out the effects of solar winds, which can knock out GPS, and also
investigate the possibility of blocking communication from enemy satellites.
