Mobile Test from Inside an Abandoned Mine

You might expect the results.
The adventure of driving our off road trucks into this mine at night was a
great thrill.
As radio operators we were curious if our signal would bounce out of the
mine with full power.
Perhaps we were just radiating ourselves. The trip into the mountain was a
unique experience to say the least.

Checking your On-Air signal...
One of the things many Amateurs appear to take for granted is that their
signal sounds just the way that they expect it to. Basing your signal on
verbal reports from others will give you some idea of what is going on.
There is a better way. If you could actually hear what is going on, what
could you learn from your own signal?
