Amateur Radio More Than a Hobby for Men's Club Speaker:

Gerry Campbell, who spent his professional business career in the
communications field with Comcast and Time-Warner, will be the speaker at
the next Mashpee Men's Club meeting. The group will meet Tuesday, April 4,
at 10 AM at Mashpee Senior Center, 26 Frank E. Hicks Drive. Mr. Campbell's
work required him to live in a variety of places, including seven years in
London. After he retired three years ago, he began thinking about what he
wanted to do. Having had a commercial broadcasting license, his thoughts
turned to amateur radio at age 56, much later in life than most ham
operators get started. Because of his background, he was able to quickly
earn the licenses required by the Federal Communications Commission.
