Alternative to Huprf IF Tap board

I was wanting to fit a HupRF IF TAP board to my IC-7100 to allow me to use
my SDR as a Panadapter, but sadly these are currently not available since
G4HUP has passed away.

So I looked on eBay for something suitable and found several LNA boards
available from China, small SMD buffer amp for about £6 delivered! Took
less than 2 weeks to deliver.

Just remove the SMA connectors and fit as per usual for Hup, and it works a
treat!

IC-7000 burned out

Yesterday while tuning with 20w with my MFJ-949E, the ic-7000 had smoke all
over and now there is no tx, only on 70cm band and on a nearby d700 with a
2nd vertical antenna...dont know if it goes out in the city or to the
nearby block.

Probably the known problem with heat and everything...but its so
sad...........
