Default WDBN Medina

I used to listen to the station as part of an Associated Press Teletext cha
nnel in my home town of Coshocton, Ohio. The channel number for that TV ch
annel was 2. I remember when they used to play Nancy Wilson, Elton John, D
ionne Warwick, Bert Kaempfert, Harry Rabinowitz, etc. In May 1987, I remem
ber listening to the station when I was waiting for my brothers graduation
from high school to be broadcast on TV; they had wonderful instrumental cov
ers of "how deep is your love", "how sweet it is to be loved by you", "on a
nd on" by Stephen Bishop, "do that to me one more time" by captain and Tenn
ille, "a day in the life by the Beatles", "a little bit more" by Dr. Hook,
"Sorry seems be the hardest word" by Elton John, "sentimental lady" by Harr
y Rabinowitz, and you are the sunshine of my life. In May 1988, I remember
hearing the song "just as much As ever" by Bert Kaempfert. One of my favor
ite songs on the playlist I remember was a vibraphone cover of "how sweet i
t is" because of how the song used a prominent vibraphone lead. And I like
how the song a little bit more used an oboe lead solo in the 2nd verse.
