Nye Viking MB-V-A meters dead (not the battery)

Gentlemen, have any of you had a problem with the metering circuit on one
of these match boxes? Mine has all of a sudden gone dead. Battery is
good. Tuner works fine except for the meters. Before I take it apart,
does anyone have any words of wisdom for me?! What a question! Thanks for
any input.
