They do make some high dollar ones that are suppose to be very good, but
very pricey.

Anyway, a good microscope of some kind will go a long way in working
with the SMD.

I have such a USB device, but need to dismount it from its structure
in order to be able to examine stuff on the flat table and not a few
inches in the air.

As to starting at the age of 66, that's where I am now at least until
next week :-)
