TS-520SE, RL1 failing

I posted this over on the TS-520_820_530_830 Yahoo! group and it apparently
is hung up awaiting for moderator approval.



After a couple hours of troubleshooting tonight, I believe that I have
narrowed the slow return to RX down to RL1. I can tap that relay when
receiving the calibrator and the RX will get intermittent and if I tap it
hard enough it will fail completely and may take about 10 seconds to
recover.

What is your secret for un freezing the ferrite cores in an IF transformer?
