This year Milton Keynes Amateur Radio Society [MKARS] is launching a new

The course is an exciting introduction to the world of amateur radio and
provides you with theÂ*minimumÂ*acceptable level of skill and experience to

Based out of our training centre atÂ*CaldecotteÂ*Lake Business Park, Milton
Keynes, the courseÂ*runs over two weekends, with support throughout. It
includes classroom learning,Â*an opportunityto get on the air, antenna
tuning experience, morse appreciation as well as online support and pop
quizzes throughout.

At the end of the course you will be given the opportunityto sit the
Foundation License exam andÂ*obtainÂ*your amateur radio license. The exam is
multiple choice, requiring a pass mark of 19/26.Â*

The course and training support is free. You will need your own copy of the
course text book Foundation License Now!, by Alan Betts - priced £4.99 at
most retailers. You will need to joinÂ*MKARS clubÂ*(currentlyÂ*£12.50 for the
remaining 6 months of this club year) and finally thoseÂ*wishing to sit the
exam and hopefullyÂ*obtainÂ*their license will need to pay £27.50

The next course starts the weekend of 25th/26th May, if you have any
