Yeah, but that's no guarantee.
My return rate is about 75% on VHF, 6 and 2 meters, and that is WITH
S.A.S.E.s
I've even included a pre-printed note stating that a QSL letter is quite
acceptable if they don't have any cards, or can't make any on the computer
(I
do). This has helped in a few instances, chances are if I'm working a guy
on 6m
FM from his mobile, he won't have any cards. Yet there have been a lot of
SASE's wasted.
I imagine the HF rate of return is better, but it's been a number of
years
since I've played this game on HF.
So I still say, " I hope I get some cards out of this!" There aren't many
A51's or VK9's out there to work on 40 !

Very true. But I have a story that had a happy ending. I had worked the
Desecheo Island dxpedition in 1993 and sent a QSL with SASE. However due to
frequent moves starting shortly after working them, I did not receive the
card. Well this year I was going through my log to see what I had and
didn't have and noticed the very, very, rare Desecheo Island. I was able to
track down the operators, get in touch with them, explain my situation, and
just a month or so ago, I got the card.
So good luck.
