Sentiments? Don't make us laugh old bean!

If we do not take action now about what are essentially
CB licences, then we can have no complaint in the future
when Ham Radio is treated by the powers-that-be as a variation
of CB Radio.

Please can you tell us who the collective 'we' actually consists of as
many of us don't want to be associated with your 'we'.

(Or your wee for that matter!)

We value the privilege of designing and making our own radios.

Yes - but anyone, licensed or not, can design and make a radio!

The thin end of the wedge is already there in some places, Spain,
for example, where you cannot fire up your own TX unless it has
been subject to scrutiny (expensively so) by government scientists.

Interesting. Maybe you should move to Spain?

We _MUST_ exhort all M3/CB Fools' Licensees to either
move to a better licence class or to not come on the bands
at all.

Well - for once old Bean, you've finally been reading what I have posted
in response to you for the better part of last week. But saying it isn't
doing is it?

If they come onto the bands, we _MUST_ refuse to QSO with them.

Which won't help as they would feel excluded and not wish to progress
further.

I believe you've talked yourself into a corner!

How do you suggest getting out of it?

David.
