As we reported on July 30th, industry executive Bob McCurdy passed away
after a battle with cancer. Bob's friends have announced they would like to
see a new rehab basketball facility built in his name in Norwalk, CT. Bob
was a standout college basketball player and a big supporter of an
organization called Full Court Peace.

The former head of FEMA Craig Fugate has always been a big supporter of
local media. Fugate has posted a blog on Medium where he worries that the
financial impact of COVID-19 could seriously hinder radio and TV's ability
to cover emergencies in their local markets. He encouraged lawmakers to
take care of them in the next stimulus package.Â*

Sonny Fox worked in South Florida for decades, including stops at WSHE
(103.5 FM), (WHYI) (Y-100.7 FM), Majic (102.7 FM) and WKIS KISS (99.9 FM).
His wife Janet shared the news of Fox's passing in a Facebook post.
