Union Region 1 Monitoring Service participants continues to be HF
over-the-horizon radars (OTH-Rs). Already an interference issue for several
years, OTH-R activity seems to be multiplying exponentially

Unfortunately 2 operators had to withdraw due to personal reasons, but we
have managed to replace those and hope to be 6 operators when departing in
July

CW Field Day

IRTS CW Field Day takes place over the weekend of 5th and 6th of June. This
contest is for portable stations and is on the CW contest preferred
segments of the contest bands from Top Band to 10 metres. It runs for 24
hours from 1500 UTC on Saturday 5th June; there are 24 hour sections and a
restricted 6 hour section

An up and down week with Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday looking not
too bad and Tuesday Wednesday and Sunday seeming very good
