The AV-18VS is a 18 foot base loaded vertical that can be tapped to match
any frequency between 3.5 and 30 Mhz. I used one on a portable push up mast
with three short radials as a ground plane. Works OK on 10 to 20 meters
marginal on 40 and not effective on 80. I did have two of them that I put
together (back to back) to use as a rotatable dipole on 75. At 75 feet they
worked about as well as dipole at 40 feet.
