Thanks NG!I Your best bet would be to go to www.arrl.org to order The ARRL Antenna Book from their store. About 700 pages for $30 or so. It covers all the popular wire antennas, as well as verticals and beams. To buy the insulators, wire and feedline you'll need to home build an antenna, go to net sites for The Wireman, RF Davis, etectera. It's hard to give you a "brand" for a dipole since they are all essentially the same, just wire and insulators. One isn't much better than any other. You might as well build your own. Get a good antenna book and you can try out a lot of different antenna ideas cheaply. Bob k5qwg |
