Default antenna question

I'm looking at the hustler g6-270 and the diamond x50a; I live near the
ocean so need a fiberglass ant, which I believe both of these are.
Does anyone have an opinion on either ant?

I am not sure which is worse the salt on the al or the sun on the
fiberglass. Periodically paint fiberglass antennas with automotive acrylic
enamel. Start when you take it out of the box.

Good point! I live on the coast and I've found aluminum will be the
first to go (about five years or less depending upon the alloy) while
my white unpainted fiberglass held up over 12 years before showing
signs of fiberglass disintegration. When I replaced it with the same
model antenna I spray painted the new antenna with two coats of black
Krylon fusion.
