I have a small lot with an 80 ft tower. It's about 90 ft from the tower to
the farthest edge of my property. I figure any multi-band HF wire antenna I put up will have to slope. I have a couple questions: 1) If I go end-fed Random Wire with an external antenna tuner, what kind of ground does the tuner end require? 2) I see there are many Folded Dipole designs. Some with ladder line, some with coax, some that claim not to need antenna tuners. How well does a dipole hold up mechanically without being supported in the middle?
