Considering that BPL stands for 'Broadband over Power Line' how does
something implemented over the infrastructure of and thus controlled by
the power companies, you know, some of those large corporate entities
you say BPL will escape the control of, escape those large
political/corporate controls?

This part, sadly, is probably correct.
